About MB Builders
North Idaho’s Trusted Luxury Home Builders
A Legacy of Craftsmanship
MB Builders & Development LLC proudly serves clients throughout North Idaho with personalized custom home construction and remodeling services. From the very beginning, our focus has been on delivering an exceptional building experience—one defined by attention to detail, thoughtful collaboration, and a genuine commitment to every client and every project. We take pride in bringing each unique vision to life with precision and care.
When you partner with MB Builders, you can expect a tailored approach aligned with your goals, lifestyle, and project investment. As a second-generation builder based in Hayden Lake, Idaho, we have been serving Kootenai County and the surrounding communities with dedication, craftsmanship, and integrity for decades.
Over the years, we have built a strong reputation for exceptional service, accurate and transparent proposals, and consistent, on-time execution. Backed by an experienced and passionate team, we look forward to the opportunity to bring your vision to life and create something truly extraordinary.
Owners, Rich and Mary
Rich was born and raised on a dairy farm in the harsh elements of Northern Minnesota. At an early age, he developed the work ethic that is behind MB Builders today. He and his wife, Mary, moved to the Coeur d’Alene area in 1994. Rich began working for Mick Blakely at MB Builders Inc. in 1995. Together, their efforts brought MB Builders to a level of custom building that is not easily matched. Rich joined Mick as a partner in 2008, and the company name changed slightly to MB Builders and Development LLC. In January of 2014, Mick retired from his position, and Rich and Mary became sole owners.
It Takes A Team
MB Builders is built on a strong foundation of leadership, strategy, and vision. Our Team is what truly makes it happen. The dedication of our long-term employees and sub-contractors, many with us for over a decade, is the driving force behind the craftsmanship of what we do.
Our Reputation for Excellence
MB Builders has been proudly serving North Idaho since 1973, building a legacy defined by craftsmanship, integrity, and lasting client relationships. We approach every project with genuine care and a deep understanding of our craft, embracing each opportunity to deliver exceptional results—no matter the complexity.
Where others may consider a project complete once the major work is finished, we remain fully committed until every detail is thoughtfully executed and approved. Our dedication to precision sets us apart and ensures a truly finished product.
The strength of our reputation, combined with the financial stability of our company, provides confidence that we will stand behind our work—today and well into the future.
